I am doing NANOWRIMO with my class.
An exerpt from my book:
"We've been summoned," he said quietly to the already shaking woman while walking over to comfort her.
"We have," she breathed, it sounded like more of a statement than a question. Either way, he answered her with a quiet nod.
That seemed to be all the explanation she needed. Violent, stuttering breaths wracked through her small body; she'd always known this day would come, she just hoped that it wouldn't have come so soon. "No..." she whispered, eyes growing wider, "No!"
